a minor delay/confirmed songs

hey,
There's been just a minor delay in the making of my album. I'd like to write a couple more songs, and become more familiar with the equipment. I hope to start recording around September/October of this year and have everything finished by April 2010. It may seem like a really short time, but if the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato can release full length albums within 6 to 7 months of one another, so the fuck can I. I suppose I should list the titles of confirmed songs:

- I Won't Haunt You
- Carbonated Fruit
- Paper
- Light Years
- Creatures
- Sugar
- Toast


Remember, there's more songs to confirm. I'd like there to be around 14 tracks. Believe me, I'm being really picky with these songs. I've written probably 60+ songs for this specific album, and while I'm sure I'll recycle a few of them, I want to make a good first impression. Expect to see my first song on this very blog in December.

summer 2009

hey,
I've been pretty bust lately. For starters, I got in a car crash (don't worry, not my fault) that totaled my car. I'm currently going to physical therapy and dealing with the unlogical ways of MetLife. Anyway, I'm about a week away from ordering my laptop, and about a month away from recording. I'm so excited! After my album is complete I hope to book gigs at some Twin Cities bars or clubs or something. Do I smell a tour?

hey,
I've been writing a lot and compiling this song and that song, and my album plans are really coming along great. I think I'd really only like to write one or two more songs. I can't wait to graduate, get away from some really negative people. I feel really hurt right now because, due to the wonders of Facebook, I've seen and heard things I really did not want to see. Anyway, I have to go smoke or something. I promise to be more faithful to my blog in the summer months.

hey,
It's been quite a while, I know. I've been really busy with school and friends and, of course, writing. Just yesterday I wrote a good song called "I Won't Haunt You," dealing with my experience with a one night stand. It's getting to the point where I feel like the list of possible songs is too long, it's time I start picking out the songs to be included on "Light Years."

confirmed track: "chocolate"

Whew! January was a pretty busy month. I took finals, got new classes, hung around with friends, and have even managed to pen a couple more songs. I can now also confirm that a song called "Chocolate" will more than likely be included on Light Years. I have this other writing, it's been going on for a while. For now, I'm calling it "Demon" and I just can't really figure out how to tie it all together. February looks to be like a very busy month also. I have my road test and I am also once again performing in Diversity Day... all on the same day. I'm performing "Easy Ride" which is originally sung by Madonna (of course) and I hope it goes very well. Also, I've started working out. It's been almost 3 weeks, and I feel great! I'm already seeing results in my arms and thighs. Well, have fun. And, as always, I'll keep you posted on any updates.

"light years" announced

Happy new year! To kick off the new year, here are some project updates. I've been working on Substitute for Love for the passed few months or so. It's going slow, but really great. I'm happy. Also, I've confirmed the title of my album I will be recording this summer. It will be titled Light Years, inspired by time and with a little nod to Darren Hayes' This Delicate Thing We've Made. I can confirm that there will also be tracks named "Light Years," "Fishbowl," "Mindtrapper," and "Funny Lady." More tracks will be added and removed and what not, but I can confirm these 4 tracks. Light Years will be available 2009/2010.
